Summer marked by a challenging but great project!

Someone has off season in the summer, others a factory holiday, and we had the summer of 2023 marked by the completion of a demanding project in the form of a top machine for the Finnish customer ATA Gears.

The machine is unique mainly due to its configuration and software equipment. It is the most advanced that can be had on the current market. For grinding complex shapes, the BHCR 63/3000 CNC grinding machine has two grinding wheels with a B axis. The guarantee of repeatability, accuracy, productivity and the elimination of extra time is provided by an in-process gauge with temperature expansion compensation. The machine runs on the Sinumerik ONE control system with an industrial PC and Windows 10 extension. The machine also boasts a rotary dresser, an industrial camera and a high-end Knoll vacuum filtration with a tank volume of almost 5,000 litres.

A separate chapter is a special tailstock that enables electric control of the quill, automatic movement along the table, and above all automatic calibration of the alignment of the centres.

This machine is a perfect example of a combination of engineering precision, technological progress and mechatronic control that meets the current requirements and trends of the industry.
